SEPTEMBER 2001 SEED LIST
Dear
Members,
Welcome
to our first seed list for the ABA, we trust you will enjoy the wonders that
nature has provided us.
All
of the species on this list have been donated by the founding members of the
ABA, all four of us, and is really just an appetizer for what lays ahead! Our
gardens are growing each year, and many new species, as well as the good old
favorites, are regularly flowering and setting seed.
I’m
sure the same is happening in your garden?
Imagine
what we could achieve if every member donated just one species to the seed bank
each year. It would be awesome, and we all would all be growing many more
treasured plants in our gardens.
So,
come on. Don’t throw your seed heads in the bin, send them to the ABA, and
share your garden with the rest of the world. Your donation will benefit our
Bulb Association, yourself, and the many other gardeners who want to grow, and
find out, about the treasures of the bulbous kingdom.
A little
about seed donations…
·
Seed
will be received in small or large quantities; it’s up to you. Members are
waiting to grow any species from your garden, so a dozen seeds will fulfill the
needs of a couple of members, at least.
Your generous donation will be gratefully received, and every seed package sent will be acknowledged with your name on the list of donors, and our thanks, for your kind and thoughtful offering.
